Perfect location, I could walk to the historic district, and even walk to the Straits Quay. Having Gurney Plaza nearby for enjoying food and shopping is a big benefit as well.
Overlooking from my room the see, gurney bay and often also be able to see the mainland was a perfect addition which I enjoyed every morning again and again.
The hotel itself is neat and clean. Yes, it is not the newest and latest, but it clearly has the benefit and charm of a good 5* hotel, with employees going out of their way to serve and please you.
If I return to George Town (which I really want to do) no doubt, I will stay the the Gurney Bay hotel again.

Another great stay at Gurney Bay. Good price for this Prime location facing the sea. My usual place at Penang. Valet parking is also at affordable price.

建地が良く、周りはワールド高層マンションが並んでいます。ホテルロビーを出ますと直ぐに海見えます。また、ちょっと歩くとローカル屋台風レストランも並んでいます。安くて美味しいです。

I chose this hotel because of the location, perfect Seaview, and it is convenient to travel to Georgetown & Batu Ferringhi because it's in the middle of it. The hotel price was reasonable too, definitely will be back again!

lovely stay at the gurney bay hotel, but i would say it isn't the nearest to your typical tourists spots like armenian streets etc. your nearest malls would be gueney plaza, gurney paragon. check in & out was smooth & the staff were definitely friendly & accomodating☺️
